After nearly two years of development, MaxOut entered Alpha 1 on July 7, 2025. This private testing phase marked the first time real users were brought into the platform to help test the foundation Cyber Tech Mob had been building since August 2023.
Alpha 1 focused on the core systems behind the MaxOut experience, including the ladder system, basic platform functions, user flows, and early competition infrastructure. The goal was not to launch everything at once. The goal was to test the foundation, observe how real users moved through the platform, and use that feedback to guide the next stage of development.
Testing the Foundation
During Alpha 1, CTM focused on validating the systems that would support competitive activity on the platform. The ladder system was one of the most important pieces of that foundation, requiring careful testing to ensure rankings, progression, and competition logic could support real participation.
Key Focus Areas
The private Alpha 1 phase allowed CTM to evaluate:
-
Ladder System Testing: The core ladder mechanics were tested and refined to support fair rankings, progression, and competitive structure.
-
Basic Platform Functions: Essential platform features were evaluated, including user management, competition structure, navigation, and data handling.
-
Real-User Feedback: Alpha 1 created the first opportunity to observe how real users interacted with the platform, identify friction points, and make improvements based on actual usage.
-
Platform Stability: This phase helped uncover issues, improve reliability, and strengthen the foundation before MaxOut expanded to a wider audience.
The Importance of Private Testing
Keeping Alpha 1 private was intentional. It gave CTM room to move carefully, listen closely, and make meaningful improvements before expanding access. Real-user testing helped reveal the platform from the player’s side, not just the builder’s side.
This phase helped turn years of product work into practical insight. The lessons from Alpha 1 strengthened MaxOut’s competition infrastructure, sharpened the user experience, and prepared the platform for its next stages of testing, growth, and release.
